Gerber, Luciano
Born in Pelotas, southern Brazil, in 1973, Luciano has been playing Brazilian music for about fifteen years. Prior to Embossa, he was the vocalist and guitarist of the now defunct Bizarre Rubber Monkeys, a Manchester-based band that played original arrangements of British and Brazilian Pop-Rock. He is inspired mainly by Brazilian song-writers such as Djavan, Vitor Ramil, Zeca Baleiro, Caetano Veloso and Chico Buarque, but also influenced by Irish/British Pop-Rock artists such as U2 and Sting.
