Eyes Shut Tight is the latest project by Double Bassist/ Composer Paul Baxter. Eyes Shut Tight, as a band, relies heavily on the interplay of it's members and the strong, melodic compositions provided by band leader Paul. The inspiration behind this project was the great feeling when these musicians performed together. Whatever they were playing came alive and that is exactly what happen when Paul brought his Compositions to the outfit. ¨The group have been compared to the outfits such as EST, The Bad Plus and Avishai Cohen Trio.

Joining Paul on his lastest creation are a couple of fine exponents of the British Jazz scene.Johnny Tomlinson (IDST, East Park Reggae Collective) who has '...an absolute bucket load of ideas and fire in his playing which takes my tunes to a level that I never though possible.'

Kristoffer Wright (Threads Orchestra, Tommy Evans Orchestra) '..knows no limits, with the compositions I have written thus far he has never been unable to play and always plays what I am hearing, Amazing.'
