The group was formed in 2021 by Saxophonist Sam Lightwing, and brought together 4 musicians at RNCM to play some new music that Sam was writing at the time. The band involves musicians from all backgrounds, bringing in many different perceptions of improvised music.
Tonight, the quintet will play three sets of music. Expect a mix of originals and music from their inspirations, including Chick Corea, Joshua Redman and Herbie Hancock. The styles are varying in the original music, expect influences from latin, jazz, funk, blues and just about everything in between.
