The Matt & Phred’s membership scheme was launched in the summer of 2005 in response to a demand from our more regular customers. The increasing popularity of the club had made it increasingly difficult to secure reservations, particularly for popular and high profile gigs. To recognize the contribution of our valued customers we designed a low priced scheme which would provide a host of benefits, not least access to a number of tables reserved expressly for those members up to the date of the gig [whereupon they are made available to all customers]. We also felt that it was important to recognize that a significant proportion of Manchester’s population is made up of students and to reflect that we have created an even lower priced membership which provides some specific benefits for the student community.
